PESHAWAR: The counter-terrorism department, Malakand division, has arrested three suspects allegedly involved in the killing of Chitral Scouts personnel in Arandu about five years ago.
In a statement here, the department said its Malakand office had received information that the three terror suspects were hiding in the Daroza area of Dir Upper. The department carried out a successful operation and picked the three suspects.

The statement said the three terrorists along with their accomplices carried out attacks on the checkposts of security forces in lower Chitralís border area of Arandu during 2009-11. As many as 18 personnel were killed and 10 others injured in the attack.
The arrested suspects were also involved in a suicide attack on a mosque in upper Dir in which 33 people were killed and 10 others injured a few years ago.
